Let’s talk about the cervix! You know, that little guy at the end of the reproductive system that controls who (or what) gets to pass through to the VIP area (aka the uterus). Think of the cervix like a bouncer at a fancy club. Just like the bouncer checks IDs and makes sure only the right people are allowed in the bar, the cervix keeps bacteria and other unwanted visitors out of the uterus and at the same time also lets the good stuff through during childbirth (a baby) and menstruation (period blood). |
How can I find it? Now, you may be thinking, “But wait, I’ve never even seen my own cervix! How am I supposed to know what it feels like?“ Well, you’re in luck because we’re here to teach you how to find it! First things first, you’ll need to get yourself in the right position and lie down with your knees bent. Now, take your fingers and gently insert them into your vagina. Gently move your fingers around and you should feel a small, round, firm protrusion (similar to the tip of the nose). That’s it! You’ve found your cervix. |
If you have a high cervix, it can be difficult to reach the menstrual cup once it’s inside you. But fear not, there are a few tricks to make it easier. Try using a longer menstrual cup or try using a menstrual cup with a longer stem. And not to brag, but at Lali we have created model XL for women with a high cervix and heavy flow (the biggest capacity on the planet), so searching for the cup will be a thing of the past. |
