The weird mix of emotions society has wrapped around it.<\/p><p>Have you ever felt a little awkward when a friend casually mentions her period?<br>Ever found yourself <strong>hiding<\/strong> a box of tampons under other groceries at checkout?<br>Or whispered to a friend, <em>&#8220;Hey, do you have a pad?&#8221;<\/em> like it\u2019s some kind of top-secret mission?<\/p><p>Yeah, same. And it\u2019s not just you.<\/p><p>These feelings\u2014shame, discomfort, even disgust\u2014aren\u2019t something we\u2019re born with. <strong>We\u2019re taught them.<\/strong> By whispers, by taboos, by society making periods seem like something we should keep quiet about.<\/p><p>But here\u2019s the truth: <strong>Menstruation is not embarrassing. And wow\u2014what a conversation!<\/p><p>We shared personal stories, unpacked society\u2019s weird relationship with periods, and talked about what it <em>really<\/em> means to embrace our cycles instead of battling them.<\/p><p>Since breaking taboos starts with <strong>talking about them<\/strong>, we decided to share the webinar recording on YouTube. Empowered? Or maybe still a little uncomfortable? Whatever comes up\u2014it\u2019s okay. Here are some ways to <strong>change your perspective<\/strong> and feel more at peace with your cycle:<\/p><p><strong>Reframe It<\/strong><br>Instead of thinking, <em>\u201cUgh, not this again\u2026\u201d<\/em> try, <em>\u201cThis is my body working exactly as it should. This is health.\u201d<\/em> Some people even track their cycle to better understand their moods, energy, and overall well-being.<\/p><p><strong>Work With Your Cycle, Not Against It<\/strong><br>Feeling extra tired or emotional? <strong>Listen to your body.<\/strong> Give yourself permission to slow down, take a nap, eat that chocolate (no guilt!), or swap high-intensity workouts for a cozy walk. Taking care of yourself is not weakness\u2014it\u2019s self-respect.<\/p><p><strong>Share &amp; Normalize It<\/strong><br>The more we talk about periods, the less power shame has over us.
